I don't recall if the software would work without the ht or not.  One
thing to remember is that you have to make a change in the menu and change
the mike settings to computer.  I'll have to look if you can't find out
which one.  I just leave mine on the computer setting.  Once you're on the
list of memories, you can arrow up and down on those.  Just hit enter on
the memory you wish to change and tab across to each entry, frequency,
offset, pl and so forth.
