Hi, everyone.
I'm running a cable modem and Norton Internet Security 2003 as my firewall
program. Lately, I've been getting a lot of messages from NIS that say: "A
remote system is attempting to access Microsoft Generic Host Process for
Win32 Services on your computer. Program:
c:\windows\system32\svchost.exe" NIS recommends that I permit the access,
saying it's low-risk, but I've been blocking it, just to be sure. Does
anyone know what this message means? Is this something I should be
concerned about?
Thanks for your help.
Rachel
