One idea I have is to scan your computer in safe Mode, where this little
bug isn't hopefully able to run and thereby interfere with the scanning
and cleaning process. The only other way that I can think of at this
point to kill your bug is to wipe the OS and restore. Hopefully you
already have a clean backup of your data, since the bug might try to
hitch a ride on a backup you make today. If anyone else on this list has
a better idea, feel free to add on. :)

I have an updated Norton Antivirus so I would have thought this would have protected me. How do I go about getting rid of this virus? So far Norton has popped up and fixed everything or so it said but this Antivirus XP 2008 is still on the computer. I am able to use the internet and Microsoft Outlook Express. I am using Windows XP Media Center. My desktop is blurry and this virus program keeps popping up in the startup tray.
