An unreasonable man (but my wife says that's redundant!)

The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable one
persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore, all
progress depends on the unreasonable man.

-George Bernard Shaw 1856-1950

The Efficacy and Safety of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy in the Treatment of
Developmental Disabilities such as Cerebral Palsy, Traumatic Brain
Injury and Autism Spectrum

The international medical and pediatric neurological communities have
witnessed a dramatic increase in the off-label use of low-pressure
hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) for chronic pediatric conditions such
as cerebral palsy, traumatic brain injury, and more recently autism.
Evidence as to the efficacy and safety of HBOT in well conducted
clinical studies is limited. In fact, there does not exist today in an
agreed upon, credible, randomized, double blind, placebo controlled
clinical trial that clearly substantiates the efficacy and safety of
this treatment.

Please join us in this seminar and help provide the kind of informed
debate which we fervently hope will lead to further research to provide
scientific rigor and enhance the ability of physicians to practice
evidence-based medicine.

Sponsored by the UMDNJ/Center for Continuing Outreach and Education with
joint sponsorship by the American Academy of Developmental Medicine and
Dentistry and EP Global Communications.
