                     PRESS RELEASE

MADISON WI 12/5/06: The People to People Campaign for
Peace and Democracy in Liberia(PPCPD) is pleased with
the administration of justice against those who were
arrested to stand trial regarding the alleged
embezzlement of public funds in the Gyude Bryant
Interim Government. The campaign is calling on GOL to
make sure these Liberians who name were mentioned in
the ECOWAS Audit Report face trial in a court of
competent jurisdiction.

The Campaign sees this move by the Ellen government as
a warning to present government officials that indeed
corruption can no more be tolerated in government. The
people money must be accounted for and as such this
government is telling Liberians and the international
community that there will be a zero tolerance policy
on corruption.

The Campaign hopes that the Judiciary will give the
assumed corrupt officials fair and open trial. The
campaign hopes that the accused will have their day in
court and vigorously exonerate their names. We
Liberians should realize that corruption is eating the
very fabric of our national lives. The Campaign is
calling on all peace loving Liberians to be
progressive and allow the process to play itself out.
