Parents, please take note of the accompanying story on psychiatric drugs being administered to children. Gist of the story is that many medications that are given to children do not have adequate long-term data backing their use. Honestly, I am absolutely appalled at learning how studies for these drugs are conducted. Considering how critical the problems and these medications are, the least the FDA and drug companies should do is make sure that proper long-term studies are done on drugs they approve for psychiatric problems.
