Ladies and Gentlemen:

At the last general meeting of the African Association
of Madison, Inc., on Saturday, September 24, 2005
members present at the meeting were afforded the gist
of the new direction for the association.  They also
had an opportunity to appraise and review the draft of
the new Constitution and By-Laws developed by the
Executive Committee.

The meeting also selected four volunteers to join with
the Executive to form a Constitutional Review
Committee to further scrutinize the draft Constitution
and By-Laws.  The Constitutional Review Committee was
then charged to present a final document to the
membership for ratification at a special meeting at
the end of November 2005.

If the new Constitution and By-Laws is approved, the
membership will elect a newly constituted Board of
Directors at the regularly scheduled December
Quarterly membership meeting of the Association.

Members of the Focus Group and all paid-up members of
the association have already received copies of the
draft constitution and by-laws.  We have requested
that you review the document and submit any comments,
questions, edits or corrections for consideration.

Your input is valuable and cannot be overemphasized.
The first meeting of the Committee is this coming
Saturday, October 8 and scheduled to meet every
fortnight until the final and desirable document is
completed.  We will remind you repeatedly to provide
your input and comment to this process until it is
completed.

corrections, forward them to anyone of the members of
the Constitutional Review Committee listed below.
