What was the damage? If the disks won't spin, it's probably not worth
trying to recover the data, unless you've got some extremely valuable
data. There are companies that specialize in recovery, but you wouldn't
want to pay the tab. They could remove the disks from one drive and
install in a similar drive to try to recover the data, not a simple or
inexpensive task. Everyone should backup data files regularly, programs
can always be reinstalled.
