I'm sorry to hear of your troubles, but maybe you have answered your own
question? If you feel better and improve on a diet of mostly protein/fat
and just a few veggies and lettuce, then maybe that's what your body
wants. Have you tried doing that for an extended period (a few weeks, at
least) to see how things went?

I've never heard that, and can't imagine why it would be true. For most
of mankind's existence, he didn't cook anything, and he didn't have a
clock.
