Hello List Mates,
Thank you for your assistance.
Many of you noted the prevalence of Kinnikinnick products in Safeway
stores, and other specialty shops.
And many passed long helpful web sites.
I have included unique snippets from all responses below.

Thank you again to all that responded. Your assistance is very much
appreciated.

Stephen

 From Ross:

If you're having trouble finding a gluten free
restaurant, check out www.triumphdining.com for some
excellent dining cards.
P.S - I am affiliated with the company.

 From John:

Stephen, Kinnikinnick products can be ordered and shipped quite reasonably anywhere in Canada, check their Web site.

 From Frances:

there is a website http://www.penny.ca/Travel.htm It should have the
info you are looking for.

 From Janice:

Kinnikinnick is based in Edmonton so you will likely pass thru on your
way south to calgary. I would recommend stopping in; in addition to the
items you can order from their website at www.kinnikinnick.com the
retail bakery has special treats like carrot cakes, lemon merangue pie,
chocolate cupcakes etc. The website also lists the grocery stores in
alberta that carry their products.

Also, go to www.calgaryceliac.com and check out the local restaurant
listings.

 From Steve:

The best place to stock up on gluten free food is a little bakery/food
store called Lorenzo's Specialty Foods. The whole store is gluten free.
They have fresh baking-all gluten free, frozen Kinnikinik products as
well as a wide assortment of other gluten free products. Their address
is 1060 St. Mary's Rd. Here's a link to their website

 From Barb:

Go to Gluten Free Travel in Canada at http://www.penny.ca/Travel.htm - It lists by Province - Restaurants and city for Restaurants and Grocery stores.
Kinnicinick has an excellent store finder on their website - by prov and city http://www.kinnikinnick.com/index.cfm/fuseaction/FindAStore.Search/Partnercountry/ca.html
Calgary has a Gluten Free bakery - Lakeview Bakery website is http://www.organicbaking.com/
I've always found Gluten Free products in Safeway, especially their 'Market Place' isle or in health food stores (just check the yellow pages of any city) and in the health food sections of many other grocery stores.

 From Carol:

Myers Drugs on the corner of Isabel and William (in Winnipeg) have a
wide selection of gluten free food, plus Lorenzo's on St. Mary's also in
Winnipeg is dedicated to gluten free food.
