Richard,
I'm considering trying a warrior-style paleo. The people I work with
are constantly complaining about the smell of my food or making
comments about the food I eat. I suspect it's because they eat garbage
all day and have forgotten what meat even looks like. I generally eat
mince with a bit of cooked veg, such as onions, broccoli or
cauliflower- and it never smells unpleasant to me.
I work 9-5.30. It would be a bit of a rush to eat after work but I
could manage it. (I am very busy in the evenings.) I've noticed that
since I started skipping breakfast I get a hunger pang around 10am
which then subsides. I get very gradually more hungry as the day goes
on. If I start fasting until 6pm will my daytime hunger disappear? I
don't want to be distracted all day because I'm starving. Ideally, I
wish I could go all day without thinking about food, and only eat at 6
because I know I'd be hungry later, and not because I am hungry then.
I eat more than enough calories (and mostly as fat too), but my body is
always asking for more.
I've taken to drinking green tea, usually 2-4 cups small during the
day. Is this a good idea or not? I don't know what the effect of
caffeine on BG levels is. I am suspect I have quite severe insulin
resistance despite being stick-thin, and don't want to aggravate my
system.
