Subject: FW: address for: Guantanamo Exposed: Capt. James Yee in Milw.,
Sat. Dec 3, 7pm with dinner preceding at 6
Date: Fri, 2 Dec 2005 08:32:58 -0600

I now see that this announcement did not include the address for the
Islamic Center of Milwaukee, which is 4707 S. 13th St. just off of the
I-94 expressway, at the Layton exit, in the vicinity of the Mitchell
Field airport. My apologies. Art
Guantanamo Exposed: Capt. James Yee Speaks in Milw., Sat., Dec. 3rd
Threatened with the death penalty on what have since been shown to be
baseless charges of espionage, Capt. James Yee was Islamic Chaplain to
the detainees held at the US Naval Base at Guantanamo Bay, on Cuban
soil. The U.S. Military arrested him, held him in a naval prison, and
brought charges which seem inexplicable -- apparently acting on the
basis of anti-Islamic phobia, or a deliberate intent to intimidate
anyone from exposing the inhuman treatment of the detainees there, or
perhaps both.

Come here his own story & have him sign his new book, "For God and
Country--A Muslim's Timely Struggle Against Discrimination and
Injustice":

Captain James Yee will speak at the Islamic Center of Milwaukee, 4707 S.
13th St., on "Overcoming Prejudice with Courage, Perseverance and
Dignity" this Sat. Dec.3rd, 2005 at 7pm. It is free and open to the
public. A dinner beforehand at 6pm costs $10 for adults, $8 for
students. More info is available at 282-1812 or at [log in to unmask]

His talk is based on his wrongful 76 day imprisonment after being
unjustly accused of spying. His new book "For God and Country--A
Muslim's Timely Struggle Against Discrimination and Injustice" will be
available at the lecture.
