Hello Everyone,
I previously posted the Smokey Bones Restaurant GF options. Smokey Bones is
a national chain restaurant and serves BBQ. Since my original post, I have
had the opportunity to eat there. I took a copy of the email I received from
the national headquarters, gave the waiter my restaurant card and explained
my situation. I specifically asked whether the french fries and Bacon and
Cheese Potato Slabs appetizer were fried in dedicated fryers. He checked with
the manager and said they weren't. :-( Since they fry donuts, onion rings
and other gluten items, I skipped the fried potatoes due to
cross-contamination.
Just a reminder, always ask enough questions to satisfy yourself as to
whether you should consume a particular item. Even without the fried potatoes, I
enjoyed an amazing meal. The food was incredible and the service was
awesome! I will be going back.
