I still eat quite a bit of fruit, and it doesn't cause any problems for
me. Occasionally, after eating a high carb food I get cravings for
additional carbs. The advice that has worked the best for me is that
when I get that craving I immediately eat some meat until I feel sated.
This seems to work every time. Over time, I am able to recognize the
difference between the feeling of hunger and the craving for carbs. When
I am hungry, it is okay if what I eat contains carbs. However, when I
get the craving for carbs I know that eating carbs alone will not fix
it. Instead I have to eat meat. I am confident that I can eat as much
meat as I want without any problem, and that when my stomach tells me I
am full the cravings will be gone (And I will, inevitably, have consumed
less calories than I would if I gave in to the cravings.)
