little math.
Northern Europeans like myself have been farming about 4,000 years. But
we were hunter gatherers for 2.5 million years before that. So if the
hunter gatherer timeline were the distance of a walk across the United
States, about 3,000 miles, how far have we been walking as farmers?
Less than five miles.
