Congratulations. What type of craft was involved? Have you had your blood
lipid levels checked while adhering to the Faigin regimen? I felt pretty
good for the 5 months last year that I followed it. I felt that paleo was a
pretty good fit but did find it too easy to go to conventional starches on
the carb days. What tubers are you utilizing?
As to West Nile, we did have a long dry period during mid summer here in
Ohio with increasing numbers of cases reported in the second half of the
summer. I had assumed the dry weather mitigated the risk by cutting back on
the mosquito hatch. We have now had some frost and will see next year where
this all leads. Our press sensationalized the situation and there was some
controversy that the spraying frenzy in some areas created risks from the
spray that were not at all insignificant. In all of Ohio there sere a few
reported deaths but I think it was actually very few.

For the second successive year, I have successfully completed (just this
morning) Canberra=92s =91Panton marathon=92 rowing race over 7 kilometres.

No
big deal, but those on a Paleo diet will be interested to hear that my
daily macronutrient ratios in the preceding weeks were around 35% protein,
60% fat and 5% carbohydrates.

  Drought helps
the mosquito species Culex pipiens, which spreads West Nile. Drought also
wipes out dragonflies and amphibians which eat mosquitoes and aids the
spread of infection by drawing thirsty birds to the pools and puddles
where mosquitoes breed. Warmer weather also increases the rate at which
pathogens mature inside mosquitoes.
