Do the people in the school's disability services office know your mom?
If not, hire her under her maiden name, or some sort of pseudonym. It
sounds really strange that they won't "bend" a school policy in this
Hi Kendall,
I'm in St. Louis. Home of some of the most absurd laws regarding disability
you will ever see. Thanks to Senator Ashcroft. We already have council and are
working on the proper legal action.
The main issue is time. Even if I sat in the accessibility office everyday
(which I am in no condition to do) until they did something I'd still be falling
behind in my school woork. And having missed a month worth of schoo on a 1 hr
credit schedule is almost impossible.
Yes the people at the school know my mom. I took some classes there during
high school so she was require to come in for meetings and signing papers. I'd
never get away with trying to pass her off as an aide or hiding her.
The whole thing is just a mess, but thanks for the help!
