I always thought their motto was: "You've got questions? We've got even
more questions."

It's always an adventure shopping at the Shack. I once took back a DX-398
because the clock wasn't keeping time reliably. They were quite helpful,
and even exchanged the radio for another one, which involved some paperwork
since I'd purchased the original at another store, and I had paid for a
service contract. When I got home with my new radio, I discovered why the
clock on the old one hadn't worked. The radio has a feature whereby you
can automatically set the clock based on a signal from FM stations in your
area. It turns out that the stations in my area that broadcast the clock
signals were set to different times, with as much as a couple of hours
difference between them. Too bad the helpful RS sales person didn't tell
me to turn off the automatic clock setting feature. My original radio was
working perfectly, and neither of us knew it. As I said before, shopping
at your friendly local Shadio Rack can be quite an adventure.
