What kind of antenna connector is on the TH-G71? Also, how
does the receiver compare with say, the IC2AT?
Stillwater, OK is a town of about 40,000 not including
Oklahoma State University so we are starting to get some big-time
intermod from pagers in the 150-175 MHZ range and the repeater I use
most around here has no tone access so all that is between continuous
digital racket and normal operation is the receiver's ability to
tolerate strong signals on near-by frequencies.
We recently got a brand new NOAA Weather Radio transmitter
that runs a KW and mixes very nicely with several other loud systems
so things aren't getting quieter any time soon.
I am basically looking for something to replace my IC2AT which
has been a great portable but which is showing the effects of time and
is known to silently loose power when the battery pack shifts just the
right way.
Also, is there an empty battery pack that one can fill with
nicads or NIMH cells? That is how I used my Icom for most of its
life. Thanks for your ideas.
