Mollie, I suspect it will depend upon the version of jfw in use. I use
omnipage pro v14 on a win2k platform with jfw v4.51 & v5.0. It works
reasonably well and I did not require any special jfw scripting. if one
creates a couple of workflows for different processes in omnipage then the
OCR process is quite easy and straight forward. The only thing to keep in
mind, is that omnipage does not really have a scann and read process. One
can scan a document, perform ocr and then send the output to a wav file.
Omnipage also has text-to-speech using real-speak as its output but I find
it preferable to read text on screen using jfw and its reading functions or
to save text to file and again read it using jfw.

Subject: Omnipage Pro

I have a student who is using a very old version of Openbook for scanning
and is interested in switching to Omnipage Pro. Does anyone know if this
will work with JAWS for windows?
