The results were mixed. Many said they do it with rice (and oats if allowed) but some said it is noisy, other said it doesn't get it as fine and the store bough flours. Some were thrilled with the results and had no complaints. Many recommended if your blender doesn't seem to work to get a grain mill. One person said her blender grinds even beans into flours....so I guess it depends on the blender?! I have used mine to make a rice "powder" to make a rice cereal for my son and it was very fine. I just wanted to know if it works in baking, and the consensus is YES but it might not be as fine as a store bough flour AND depending on blender may "burn" blender out.
Hope this helps someone else :)
