BREAKING NEWS:WIFE OF ARMY FUGITIVE NDURE CHAM SPEAKS!!!!

The detained wife of the army fugitive Ndure Cham, Mrs. Awa Darboe Cham, told the Freedom Newspaper that her captives subjected her to vigorous interrogations while in custody at the Banjul police Head Quarters, where she was being grilled by investigators, over the whereabouts of her husband. Mrs. Cham, who is six month pregnant was sleeping on a mattress, while in custody. She narrated how the investigators cornered her to volunteer information regarding Ndure Cham, who government say was on the run.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with the Freedom Newspaper, Madam Cham said she was not harassed while in custody, but confirmed that she was subjected to unfinish questioning by the police. She said she told the police that she last saw Ndure Cham, the last day he went to work and was not in the position volunteer information on Ndure’s current whereabouts. “ I don’t know where my husband is right now. We really missed him. I love my husband. His absence is causing nightmare to the family. The kids cannot sleep these days. We really missed him.” said the released soldier’s wife.
Mrs. Cham said she told the police that she had no knowledge about the coup and her husband’s involvement into the said alleged plot to topple Jammeh’s government.
Madam Cham, was released yesterday by the state after she was cleared from any possible conspiracy on the alleged foiled coup. She spent couples of days in custody before being freed by the state. She told the Freedom Newspaper that while in custody her family brought some food for her.
“While in custody my family brought food for me. I bought my own mattress, which I used to sleep on. As you may know I’m pregnant and I’m expecting a baby.” she said.
Mrs.Awa Cham urges her husband if he is alive to reestablish contacts with the family as soon as possible. “The family want to talk to you. Please call us, wherever you are. We want to talk to you. We missed you Ndure Cham. The kids are asking for you day in day out.” said Mrs. Cham.
