The new Mauritanian leader Colonel Ely Mohammed Ould Vall, is expected to land at the Banjul international airport tomorrow by 4pm for a two day working visit. Mr Vall is expected to meet his counterpart president Jammeh for discussion to be centred on bilateral relationship.
Sources close to the state house has it that the Gambian leader invited his counterpart to explain to him why he harboured the deposed Mauritanian leader and also to apologise for that mistake of his. The 52 year old colonel took power in a bloodless coup on the 3rd of August this year.
His toppling of Ould Taya's government was well welcomed by Mauritanians who suffered under the hands of his predecessor. "Colonel Vall should be very careful not to follow the foot steeps of Jammeh as he is a dictator and would only like to see dictators like
him" said an insider at state house in Banjul.
