Nancy, thanks for your request.  The Save The Gambia Democracy Project
(SGDP), formerly, Save The Gambia Fund organization is in consultation
with the Alternative leadership and we are working on bringing their
chosen representative to officially update us on the going ons in their
discussions, at the ALD conference in Washington D.C., at the end of
July.  We have a PR person for the organization who is in charge of
communicating for the organization.  I am one of four Regional
Coordinators in the Midwest region and we have I believe five regions
(South, West, East, and North East, and Midwest - each with four elected
representatives).  The structure for the organization came into being this
past February, in Atlanta.  I had to respond to Conteh because his was
misinformation as usual.  ALD is just three weeks away (weekend of July
29) and I urge folks to attend if they could because a lot is going to be
discussed there.

It looks like you are writing from the UK and I assure you that the PR
officer for the organization will brief the readership on the L and Post
after the event.  So please stay tuned.  The SGDP is an organization by
and for Gambians and friends of Gambia to effect meaningful change in the
Gambia.  I urge Gambians to join this organization that will work to bring
the Alternative leadership to share one platform to rid ourselves of the
pest that is Yaya Jammeh and the AFPRC.  This is our only hope folks and
together we can and will achieve uncommon results.  Also, please read the
forwarded article by Foroyaa and I believe another one by the Observer
where the proposed coalition is discussed.  I hope this helps partially
