Hi Butch,

The ARCP-2000 software will let you control the radio totally from the
computer. All of the buttons are there in one form or another. I use it to
design audio filters both for receive and transmit and have a lot of fun
with it. It's not totally speech friendly but with a little bit of creative
work with the JAWS cursor, I can get the job done.

Take care and very 73.

I also have a 2000 and like it. I wish the pl tone select would speak, but
you can work around that. Also, I wish they had just an on off switch for
the xmit monitor instead of having to turn down the level each time.

Speaking of the 2000, I just hooked up a cable to mine last night and
playing with the software I found on line. I'm told there is a better
package available from Kenwood that comes with the computer version of the
20000. Anyone know what this package will do that the free one does not.
The on I have just seems to let you do memory and menu settings. Pretty
basic.
