Dave,

I think all the 1 by 2's and possibly 2 by 1's are allocated. No matter where
I go, I'm never giving up my call now.

Subject: Short Call Sign Assignment

I will be moving to Oregon in a few months after a very long time in
California. I would like an Area 7 call sign rather than keeping my Area 6
call sign. I have held my current 2 by 1 call sign for over 25 years. Does
anyone know what the current FCC policy is for assignment of short call signs
in a case like mine? I am hoping I won't have to go to the end of the waiting
list line, but that is probably what will happen. Thanks for any information.

73,

de AF6Y, Dave
