this is correct it is not necessary to open ports explicitly with sygate
personal firewall in the same way that one must in the case of many hardware
routers
simply allow the application and you're off to the races

I think you just run EchoLink and then alt-tab to the sygate dialog and tell
it echolink is ok. -Ken
