The following recipe is one that I have been making for over 20 years. You can use it as a condiment with turkey, pork, chicken. etc. You can also use it as a jam with peanut butter, or as a cake filling. It is wonderful
Pumpkin Butter
1 can solid pack pumpkin..15 oz
1/2 cup honey
1 teas cinnamon
1/2 teas allspice, ginger,
1/4 teas cloves
water
1 cup raisins
1/2 cup walnuts [optional]
Place all ingredients in a heavy pot.and heat gently, slowly stirring. Add enough water, approx 1 cup to make the consistency of applesuace.
Cook for 5 min, let cool to room temp and then place in refrigerator
