I was just diagnosed with gluten intolerance in June, and I have been
concerned about my two small children, one of which shows signs of
depressive symptoms (I have had severe depression in the past) and one who
has eczema and some food sensitivities. I put them on an elimination
diet, and then gave them gluten, and they had no obvious adverse
reaction. I did this twice to make sure. I decided to use Enterolab to
do a cow's milk sensitivity test for both of them, since we have great
difficulty eliminating dairy in our house. Enterolab accidentally did a
gluten intolerance test instead, and they both came back positive. I am
confused about this result, since they seemed to have no reaction to
gluten. It is a little unsettling that Enterolab administered the wrong
test, although I know they are human and mistakes happen. Does anyone
have any opinions/input on Enterolab and the accuracy of their results; or
on the likelihood of a child being gluten intolerant when an elimination
diet shows no reaction?

Thanks in advance,
Beth Churchill
