I have read the book. It is a good read if you are interested in some
basic biochemistry of excercise.
One takeaway I learned from the book is that there are good reasons for
fat to exist on one's body. According to Hofmekler, fat keeps insulin
resistance in check, fat stores hormones and also toxins that otherwise
would flood the body. It makes some sense.
The book explains the role of various hormones in eating and excercise.
There are some conclusions but I'm sure that none of the conclusions are
really justified by the evidence at this stage of the game.
