I find this passage interesting:

"Ehrman says some groups of early Christians claimed there was more than one
God."

I find it particularly interesting in the light of the fact that the Christian
church has its roots in Judiasm, which is monotheist.  These polytheists
would have been totally incompatible with the Jewish traditions of the
founders.
