Hi! Over 30 people responded to my survey asking if flu symptoms were
common in accidental gluten ingestion! Well, overwelmingly yes! At least
75% responded with classic flu symptoms with varying degrees of intensity
expressed (although no "minor" reactions). This was true even if GF for a
long period of time. Several people indicated that cold medicines (such as
Nyquil) helped alleviate symptoms!

14% responded with more classic celiac diagnostic symptoms (abdominal pain,
diarrhea, etc.) and the remainder were basically isolated cases of varying
symptoms (e.g., fatigue, migranes) or none.

Thanks to all! I guess the silver lining is that those of us who get such
reactions need to be thankful we have the opportunity to analyze our eating
habits and
make changes! All I know is I won't be eating turkey anytime
soon!! Best Regards, Janet
