I actually think that Sears's most enduring contribution will be his
presentation of the link between insulin and the prostaglandins and all
that this link entails.  Even though he didn't do the basic science that
produced these discoveries, he put them on the map, so to speak.  Though
I may, and do, disagree with Sears about certain specific dietary
recommendations, I do not disagree with the premise that controlling
insulin is the *single most important thing people can do for their
health*.
