You should try to get the info from the website of your router
manufacturer. Failing that, try opening tcp/udp port 6901. There is
quite a bit of conflicting info on the internet about which ports to
open. Also, there are various Microsoft knowledgebase articles
available, but equally confusing.

Subject: configuring a router to work with msn messenger?
Hello everyone:
I am writing to the list because I was wondering if someone might
please be
able to help me out.
I just got and install a router with a NAT firewall build in to it.
everything is ok with it except that I can no longer use the msn to
communicate through voice. I am thinking that I got to configure it so
that
I can use its voice part but I am not quite sure if I need to add the
msn
port or IP. I would greatly appreciated if someone could advice me
onto how
to solve this issue.
thanking everyone very much in advance for the help.
Juan Sosa
