Assuming that you are doing professional work on professional Cad software,
then your software provider should provide you with the desired specs for a
monitor. If ANY 19" monitor will do, then go to the local computer stores
(or make a trip to the Big City) and pick one that YOU think looks the best.
A CRT has been the golden standard for years, but you won't find many of
them any more in the local stores. My wife has a Viewsonic 19" CRT which is
very nice, cost under $200, and is not nearly as heavy as the old ones used
to be.
I have a 24" Dell LCD, which I got based on top recommendations from PC
Gamer magazine. I like it a lot. But it was over $700 with shipping, and
who knows how long it will last?
