These stats made me think of the longest lived french woman, Jeanne
Calment, who died at a premature 122 -- she apparently ate 2 pounds of
chocolate a week, drank port, rode a bicycle til she was 100, didn't
quit smoking her french cigarettes until she something like 117 (not for
health reasons, but because she could no longer see well enough to light
the darn things!) and I can only surmise from reports that she ate a
normal, high fat French diet. Also, think about Julia Child -- well into
her 90s on rich French food and wine. I believe in fact that among women
-- French women are the longest lived in the world.

Vive la France!
