I am interested in this discussion of accessible in-library
workstations for our member libraries, but at my Library System, we are
writing a grant to build a series of workshops around the issue of
making library Web sites more accessible. We want to purchase some
screen reader software that would be the centerpiece of the workshops,
so I would be most interested to hear any of your recommendations for
software.
We are currently looking at Jaws, pwWebSpeak, and possibly IBM's Home
Page Reader. We briefly had a demo of pwWebSpeak, and since it is
browser-independent and does not require high-end machines, it would be
my first choice. The software would be installed in our training room
on 133Mhz PCs with 64MB RAM.
        TIA for any advice/tips/recommendations!
