When I eat raw hamburger _any_ added salt is repulsive. From this I assume
that there is enough sodium/chlorine/whatever in the meat.

Cooked meat needs salt, to my taste. I assume this means that cooking makes
the otherwise available nutrient(s) unavailable.

Your sense of taste can be your best guide.
