Hi,
I've been to an Indonesian restaurant here in Los
Angeles since I was diagnosed without a problem. I
believe their food is naturally gluten free (I'm
assuming from what I have heard about the food in Bali
at least). I've never seen a bottle of soy sauce in
the restaurant and I don't think they use it in their
cooking.
I am really sensitive and try to be very careful.
Getting any form of gluten makes me feel miserable for
days. I would like to go back to this restaurant, but
I would like to make my needs clearly known to the
not-so-good-English staff. I have tried to explain my
intolerances, but I think they might think I have a
soy allergy.
If anyone has any information about an Indonesian
restaurant card, I would love to have one. If anyone
has any more information about Indonesian cuisine and
possibly gluten ingredients, I would like to hear that
too. I rarely eat out due to my extreme sensitivity,
but I would like to be able to go to this restaurant
occasionally and safely.
Thanks in advance,
Molly
So. Cal.
