We arrived back in Yakima after a week at Lake Tahoe. Eating
experiences went well. The highlight though was a restaurant call
Freshies south of town about 2 miles or less. 3330 Lake Tahoe Blvd. #3,
530.542.3630. They serve lunch and dinner with seating inside and out.
When I mentioned my eating restrictions, they informed me that they do
not have anything that is deep-fried that has wheat and when questioned
further not gluten. The fryer is clean. I had two wonderful meals
there the one that was most special was having fish and chips!!! It has
been over 7 years since I have been able to eat that meal out. They use
rice flour!!! I spoke with the owner and thanked her for her
wheat/gluten free items. I told her she should say her items are gluten
free not just wheat free.
