Just joined the list. Sounds like it's going to be a great forum to be a
part of but would appreciate connecting with someone who may have some more
local info for Australian foods, medical etc.

My husband Ray is pretty sure he has celiac. He hasn't had the biopsy yet
but now I am suspecting at least three of my four children may have the
disease. Especially my 6yo son. He recently bent the sheath around the
bone in his forearm just carrying around some half bricks. He's quite
skinny and has alot of symptoms. I'll get some tests done but does anyone
know what the likelihood of the children having the disease if their father
does?

Also I'm dreading the possiblity of my 8yo son having celiac disease as he
also has Type 1 Diabetes.... The two diets together make it incredibly
difficult to control blood sugar levels. I know that insulin dependant
diabetics are more prone to celiac than most people.

Anyone out there with a Type 1 Diabetes and Celiac combination?

Thanks.
