I'm a massage therapist and I've had a very achy, headachy 50ish client who doesn't want to hear about celiac but she went on a low carb diet because she has 5 diabetic cousins. This helped a great deal with the aches and headaches, but she swears it's not wheat that's the trouble, it's just sugary stuff.
I've also got an 18 yr old client who is very pale, has low serum iron, aches all the time and has chronically tight muscles, and wakes up in the night with her hands in fists. Incidentally, both of these women have zero stress in their lives, so they are completely baffled.
I know a woman with celiac disease who tends to cheat on the diet at least weekly, and she wakes up with her hands in fists.
We ate out recently and I had a gut reaction and a shaky spell afterward, so I suspect there was gluten. I posted about waking up in a rage from a dream, but I didn't mention that my hands too were in fists. If I hadn't remembered the dream, I wouldn't have known why I was in such a state. It takes a reasonable amount of B vitamins in the system, esp B6, to remember your dreams, so maybe these other women are too low on B's to remember the dream that had them clenching their fists. Any else experience this? All ideas and comments are welcome. Donna
