Sometimes, depending on your settings or version of Word, JAWS won't
read properly when there are a lot of spelling errors. You might get
someone to look and see if there is a toolbar that is expanded that
isn't generally shown. That can also continually pull the focus.
However, likely there is some editing tool or some settings in Word that
are turned on that's causing the problem.

Subject: Jaws not reading letters in M.Word or Notepad.

I am using Jaws 5.0 & XP Home. When typing a document in M.Word or
Notepad and I listen to the typed text, Jaws is very jumbled.

When editing I discoverthat various letters are missing, and I have to
go back and replace the missing letters. I thought I had a problem with
my keyboard. Last night a seeing friend came over,I explained my
problem, typed a document, and it was quite garbled when I read it back.
My friend said there wer no errors on the document and that jaws was not
reading various letters. Has anyone any thoughts on this problem.
Suggestions appreciated. Moira
