Dan,
I think the 4,5,6 is  the underscore character in the
six dot computer braille representation.  I have an old Papenmeier Notex486
which likes 4,5,6,8 for underscore.  Just 4,5,6 is, as they
programmed the U.S. character set, another backspace, or perhaps delete.
The "Fraille and Freak" makes no differentiation between 4,5,6 and its shifted
equivalent.
