I hear you.  But parroting as he does the common dietary wisdom, forgive me for being not a little skeptical of the guy's ideas.  As I said before, there's just a lot out there we don't know.

Thinking of it a different way, though, perhaps you are right.  Perhaps such ultra endurance activities are so far outside of our nature that the only way to do them are to consume an equally unnatural carb-driven macronutrient combination.
