Scrumpy is awful :-) I get some naturally fermented pure cider direct from the farmer at Borough market in London... this is no good for you I know but I'm sure you could get your hands on some good stuff from the west country via mail order etc.

  After several unfortunately memorable experiences with Merrydown vintage cider and Scrumpy in the past, I now only use it for cooking <g> I might give the regular kind a go again as an experiment. I miss Waddies 6X no end...and I abhor spirits of any kind, so many thanks for the suggestion :-)
