Since you live there -- what are the food portions like generally speaking
compared to the gigantic US portions?  I've always thought that portions
there were generally MUCH smaller there.  Perhaps one can get away with
much higher carbs if the overall portions are smaller?  Also, Japanese
traditionally drink lots of green tea which purportedly inhibits the body's
production of amalyse and therefore may act as a natural "starch blocker".
Thoughts?
