God is a multi-trillion dollar multinational industry. This industry has
existed since the domestication of the dog over 50,000 years ago when
hunting tools only useful if used with dogs and religious artifacts appear
for the first time in the archeological record. To deny Its' ( gender
neuteral) existence would be foolhardy indeed.

For dogs and Cro-magnons, their new partnership brought them new problems
and oportunities not experenced by the wolves and primitive Homo Sapiens
they evolved from. One man with a small pack of dogs could out-hunt 20 men
without dogs ( or a large pack of wolves) but hunting strategy would become
much more complex ( ask any falconer). Behavioral modifications were
necessary for humans to deal with these and ensure their survival. These
behaviors would have to be passed down from generation to generation through
liturgy and ritual as they are not inherently contained in our DNA. This
was done by means of totemic religion.

As other species were neotinized ( domesticated ) other forms of religion
developed to deal with the unique problems associated with each species.
Thus if you draw a map of the historical range of the world's various
religions and one for major crop species - you get the same map.

As eros is to reproduction so religion is to symbiosis.
