You can almost do nothing under the DOS prompt.  You have to actually boot in to
DOS and then a large number of programs will work.  This definitely does not
mean all for two reasons.  First, DOS v7 writes differently to the screen and
second there are a large number of items which have been removed from that
version of DOS to scale it down.
