I find that it tastes like mushy beef jerky. It has a slightly salty flavor
for me. This will probably vary from person to person. I don't put salt in
anything, so when I encounter it, I can taste it.

As far as I'm concerned, I think it makes a great trail food or emergency
snack food. I don't think I could make it a part of my regular diet. It
would need some dried cranberries or blueberries to make it more attractive
as a regular food item.
